Build a CRM/issue tracker to maintain a comprehensive view of legislators, connections and political stances.

Provide a tool to provide solid evidence of the difference that OTPF was making on key issues with legislators.

Challenge

Integrate all the necessary information (basic contact information, staffing and legislative history) with reportable activities (mailings, telephone conversations, etc.) while tracking the issues discussed and any changes on stance or opinion.

Results

Workstate created an internal web application to track state and federal legislators’ contact information, terms in office and the activities conducted during that stay in office. Key reporting tools were built in to allow OTPF to slice their data by issue, legislator and geographic area as well as by team member. Utilizing this data and linking it up with their extensive QuitLine data allowed OTPF to effectively see the impact they were having on their key issues.
